The opinions of all the "experts" wear on me

Every day you read the headlines, and some media-proclaimed "expert" is telling us that the orange one's demise is near. It's been going on for years, with one "expert" after another making predictions that seem to never come true. It's exhausting, and I've decided they are all full of it.

I do believe he will be brought down by Garland, I just wish all the "experts" would STFU.

I've been a newshound for a long time, especially since Donald's Rump came down that escalator.

But I get tired of news show where it's mostly discussion between other journalists and pundits. It can be informational, but seems like most of the news programs are just journalists talking to each other.

I hope you're right but I'm not optimistic. I think our side has too much reverence for "the office of the president," & that we worry too much about being accused of being partisan.

while suffering their opinions, hope they are correct and move on. Nothing will happen until it does. I feel the orange butthole will face some kind of humiliation. There that's my 'expert' opinion. Yep, even this don't mean nuthin till the day it becomes true. I just let all those opinions just roll off my back like rain. Much less stress for my old mind

that have not happened before. TFG gets away with everything, and the wait to see him get his is interminable! He's so used to it that he is blatant about it. Even these experts are putting their hopes forth. We do not want evil to win out, and if TFG does not pay somehow, it might seem like it did.

Rachel's podcast on Spiro Agnew brings it up - that they had to let him plead and settle on a sentence with no jail time, when others would have gone to jail. But because he had gotten into the Vice Presidency and he had the card that he could become President, crook that he was, but then he happened to be serving under the then most corrupt President - they had to let him off without jail in return for his resignation from the VP. Had he been under any other POTUS, it would not have been a worry, so the circumstances came together - the attorneys felt bad, because it let Agnew a little above the law.

So it's good TFG is out of office - no constraint like that exists.

They are experts at getting their mug on TV and saying what they know the audience wants to hear.

It would be nice if someone decided to do a news program where they report the day's news from all over the world, instead of doing four or five stories and then having a panel of cronies jawbone about it for ten minutes a piece.

Don't watch/read news for a bit. Listen to The Beatles. Nothing big is going to happen today, probably.

More importantly, think for yourself. "Experts" serve up opinions for the same reason that workers at McDonald's put what they mistake for burgers on the grill. Personally, I would feed that shit to a dog. But that they make them is not worth my thinking about.

Trying to overthrow the US government, leading an insurrection, encouraging the kidnap or
murder of a Vice President and Speaker of the House, taking Russian help to steal an election,
trading US aid for political witch hunts, stealing hundreds of US classified intelligence documents.

Now the almost certain acceptance of bribes and selling classified intel to our enemies.

It is all obvious, straight forward with a lot of evidence and witnesses.

There just doesn't seem to be the political will to go after Trump.

large number of crimes, counts, serious 'filter' processes to avoid prejudicial problems, coordinations among entities, - for openers.

Very important to avoid mistakes that trump can use to hide behind, excite trump judges, media conflagrations, etc.

Then select the best strategies and tactics, that seem the most effective way to proceed further.

[This is just off the top of my head]

Watch something else. Hoping for Trump to be incarcerated is never going to happen. You’ll read it here if it ever does. M$M “experts” saying the same things over and over and over just fill up time until they can run more commercials. It’s just redundant nonsense.

Which is the more useful, informative thing, IMO.

If not books, then non-partisan/non-political/non-infotainment websites with information by people who are not paid by the eyeball.

I have access to my college's researching system. I find so many rabbit holes just by skimming through Congressional Quarterly. One article from there is more interesting, more dense, and more informative than hours of twitter and cable.

And I'm happy to have neither Twitter nor cable. It's almost impossible not to encounter the orange one in the headlines though, even when looking at non-partisan websites, and they too have their supposed "experts" pontificating as though they know the answer.

I reminded myself of a song that makes me feel better for a few minutes at least...

Because this is unprecendented.

I also think that recent shift to preserving Democracy in the polls (21% of voters?) -

Spells doom for the GOP in the midterms. I think the last time this happened was what? 1876?

As though I was watching in real time as measured analysis and data-driven models gave way to the new economies of opinions and yelling.

I guess that's what The People™ wanted, and we certainly got it. Loud, neon, garish opinions that sound more like a Sunday morning televangelist demanding money than it does a news broadcast.

And yeah, I think Trump'll go down one way or another. Not that my opinion is with any consequence or weight, but the past few weeks have illustrated (to me) that a lot more was going on in the background than I ever gave credit for. Nothing now seems slow since the execution of the warrant on his place.
