After losing the 2008 GOP presidential nod, Giuliani moved to Trump's Mar-a-Lago club, a book says.
A tunnel under the Palm Beach, Florida, estate let Giuliani travel back and forth unseen, it adds.
His ex-wife says he began drinking heavily and had "clinical depression" after leaving the race.

Rudy Giuliani at one time secretly stayed at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago club, where he used an underground tunnel to go back and forth from the resort while he was depressed and drinking a lot after falling short in the 2008 Republican presidential primaries, a forthcoming book says.

In the book, "Giuliani: The Rise and Tragic Fall of America's Mayor," Andrew Kirtzman describes Giuliani's personal struggles after he left the GOP contest following a dismal showing in the Florida primary. The book features commentary from his third ex-wife, Judith Giuliani.

Giuliani "dreamed of becoming president from a young age, [but] blew his big moment when it arrived," Kirtzman wrote, according to an early copy of the book obtained by The Guardian.................

It's just so WEIRD! I wouldn't be surprised if there was an off shoot tunnel to Epstein's, either. It's kinda strange that tunnels are a part of QAnon's sicko conspiracy theories....more "accuse the other side of that which you are guilty"?

Trump at Thanksgiving Day dinner at Mar-a-Lago in 2018.

Mark Lindblom, an 18-year-old college freshman, wanted to see if he could get into Mar-a-Lago, Trump's luxury resort in Palm Beach, Florida, while the president and his family were visiting on Thanksgiving last year.

And he did.

On Nov. 23, 2018, the teen, who is not a Mar-a-Lago member, entered an underground tunnel under a roadway that club members exclusively use to go back and forth between the grounds and the beach.

He then went up to a Secret Service security screening, was cleared, and wandered around Trump’s “Winter White House” for 20 minutes before being detained — by the Secret Service, according to court records.

Lindblom pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to unlawfully entering or remaining in a restricted area. The teen, who is majoring in business at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, was sentenced to a year of probation and a $25 fine.......................................................

And another memory surfaced:

Why did Russian oligarch pay so much for mansion owned by Trump?

PALM BEACH — Why did a Russian oligarch pay now-President Donald Trump $95 million for his Palm Beach mansion? Almost a decade later, the answer is less clear than it was at the time of the sale, the largest price paid for a Palm Beach home.

In 2008, Dmitry Rybolovlev bought the Palm Beach mansion owned by Trump for $13 million more than the most expensive Palm Beach mansion sale up to that moment. It's been almost a decade since the sale, but the transaction is newsworthy again as new questions surround contacts between members of Trump's administration and Russian government officials.

Last week, a Rybolovlev spokesman said his client, who made his fortune in fertilizer potash, purchased the former mansion at of 515 N. County Road for his family's trust. In 2008, Rybolovlev characterized the purchase as a company investment: "This acquisition is simply an investment in real estate by one of the companies in which I have an interest," Rybolovlev said at the time through a spokesman for Uralkali, the fertilizer company he previously owned.

Rybolovlev added that he didn't plan to live in the United States. Nonetheless, he went ahead and paid an exceptionally high, $50 million premium to Trump, then a real estate tycoon and reality show host, for a property he never sought to live in, not even on a part-time basis.
