Desantis' felon fraud case disintegrating: Some were told BY GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS they could vote

And there's no evidence the rest thought they were ineligible:
Desantis will be embarrassed if these people charged with fraud are acquitted:

Several Floridians facing criminal voter fraud charges, loudly trumpeted by Governor Ron DeSantis last week, believed they were eligible to vote, and in some cases said they were advised by government officials that they could cast ballots.
...

In order to get a conviction, prosecutors will have to prove the defendants knew they were ineligible when they registered and voted. They have yet to submit any evidence showing the defendants were explicitly warned their specific felonies barred them from voting.

1. That won't matter to DeSantis. He already got the mileage out of it with his people.

The other issue is that he doesn't give a rat's ass about who he hurts with his silly games.

They were given a voter I.D. cards either by the state or their county BOEs.

Charlie Crist, the Florida Democratic party, and the ACLU should file suits in support of them.

.... in Florida, or voting one time in Florida and one time in the northern state where they had been
living, or voting for a dead spouse?

These optics are bad for Ron.

I want those people to publicly sue DeSantis and the state of FL. I have been doing voting protection for
years and if those 20 people showed up and voted and then if they were shown to be ineligible to vote then
their vote should not have been counted end of story. And if they were listed as eligible voters in the polling
book and they had their I.D. such as their voter I.D. card (given to them by the state in this case) then they
got to vote but to arrest them over 1 3/4 years later is an abuse of power.
