OUR PRESIDENT "Fighting Joe Biden" is on their trail !!!!

I really like what I have read the past day or so, about MY President "Fighting Joe Biden" on the campaign trail!

He has produced great progressive changes for the American people, with the slimmest margins of congressional support!
It did not all happen overnight-- but it has happened!!!

And now I am very glad to see him taking that message on the road, with fighting spirit!




Many of us, over the past year, may have been disappointed in what we *perceived* as a "lack of fight" in our President...
(and probably discouraged by the worldwide price inflation, the blatant price-gouging for gasoline in this country and everything else..)

We wanted to see him "kicking Republican ass" more... but Joe was busy being president, quietly doing his job, working to bring progress to the American people, and, dare I say it??---

To Make America Greater than ever before!!!

"MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!"

(and mostly without a shred of support from Republicans, who want to see our country suffer and "fail"-- only because their political opponents have control. It is the same as it was under President Obama-- they put party over country. This is not the 1970s anymore, or the '60s or the '50s. This is not your Grandpa's Republican party. Now I am very happy to see him out on the campaign trail, touting the nearly unprecedented accomplishments of this administration, "blowing his own horn"-- and finally laying the word "fascism" at the feet of the MAGAts and their establishment Republican cowardly enablers!!!

Ok, he did say "semi-fascism"... displaying a little of his usual rhetorical restraint-- because he is still a nice guy-- (that very calm and measured behavior being in violent contrast to the behavior of TFG--- was probably among the biggest reasons that a vast majority of the American people voted for him in 2020, because they were tired of the daily Twitter DRAMA)


....but President "Fighting Joe" DID utter the word "fascism" to describe the MAGAt control of the Republican party, and I trust that he will keep saying it! (Along with the words "Republican extremism", and a reminder that Republicans seek a nationwide ban on abortion, wouldn't hurt either!)

Yes, "progressives" such as myself, or as the GQP would label me "FAR-LEFT COMMIE SOCIALIST PINKO BLAH BLAH BLAH" have not seen as much accomplished as our "unicorn dreams" might have hoped for, but we have seen PROGRESS ACHIEVED! I LOVE President Joe Biden! He has delivered more for progressives, more than we had any reason to expect in the current political circumstances! He continues to "evolve" toward progressive solutions, and uses his political experience to see them become reality!
(And don't forget, he LED President Obama to support for gay marriage! "Love and let love", that is my personal philosophy. Love is a beautiful thing, no matter what sex you are, and no matter whom you love-- and it is nobody else's business, but I digress...)

I will consider no alleged "progressive improvements" over the leadership of President Biden in 2024!

And now, President Biden is leading the fight for the midterm elections. It appears that he is taking off the gloves, and saying the things that we in the base have wanted to hear him say, in public campaigning!

YES, the Republican MAGAts are embracing fascism!
YES, this administration has unprecedented accomplishments which are improving the lives of the American people!

YES, PRESIDENT "FIGHTING JOE BIDEN" will continue to fight for us--
sometimes quietly, sometimes more loudly, as now--

I have always believed that he had some 'Harry Truman' in him.
Now we are seeing it unfolding. KEEP IT UP, PRESIDENT BIDEN! "GIVE THEM HELL!!!"

I would bet that 90% or more of them don’t the meaning of the word. I’ll bet even a greater percentage of them don’t know the origin of the word, never took a semester of Latin, never heard of the word “facere,” and think Mussolini is a brand of spaghetti sauce that comes in both regular and with roasted garlic.

2. "Ignorance has no boundaries...."

That being the case, they cannot defend against the charge--
but the people, and our base, still need to hear our President calling them out for their extremism.

I am happy to hear it. I hope for more as the campaign progresses.

5. At this point, there is probably not one Republican who could be persuaded to change their vote

Ergo, our only option is to get out ours.

That is most likely to happen if the party leader-and-President shows up, fires up the base, and reminds people why these midterms are vital. For the past 20 years, the midterms have been full of "surprise upsets, ALL favoring Republicans." Beyond the statistical improbability of it all, the evidence of Republican election tampering is rampant, but will obviously not be legally pursued by Republican administrations who profit from it.

The multitude of appearances by a president who is open, witty, pleasant in his demeanor, and knowledgable to boot-THAT is a big GOTV advantage that we re wisely putting to use. However Trump financed his trips (probably no small percentage from our tax dollars), Biden would never knowingly do that, so it is good we have a decent war chest this time. The bad news is that the Republicans have a FORTUNE at their disposal as well. What they do NOT have is a great roster of candidates. All the money in world won't make Kari Lake truthful, Herschel Walker coherent, Chuck Grassley appear not to be on life support, or move Mehmet Oz's home tom Pennsylvania.

Any appearance by Joe Biden can only enhance our chances by reminding people of the difference. I wouldn't want his schedule, and my job already takes me to a different country every day of the week.

I think that the Republicans may be the ones to be surprised THIS time, in this midterm--

Thanks for an overwhelming vote against them by women, and ESPECIALLY by YOUNG women who have not bothered to vote before, and whom the pollsters fail to predict-- as in Kansas and as in the NY congressional special election which the GQP candidate was predicted to win, by the polls and by the pundits... but the GQP LOST.

Also a white male American, I used to live and go to school in Spain. Although I lived in a part of Spain where the local population does not speak Castilian ("Spanish" ) among themselves, my school was in that language, so I learned both. I lived in Barcelona with a local family, so I learned to speak and write Catalan as well (setze jutges d'un jutjat mengen fetge d'un penjat).

The voters who are not on the pollsters' radars could indeed be our secret weapon, but only if they come out to play. It does us no good if they treat this election as a spectator sport.

4. Their reaction to being called fascist to their face,

is probably much less important than the reaction of our own base, who have been YEARNING to hear our President call them out in this manner as nazi-wannabes to their face! (They will not respond, they will try to talk about inflation, falling gas prices and 'far left democrat policies'....)


The research I have read shows that many voters prefer a leader who is 'strong and willing to fight', over one who may be 'right, but not a fighter'...


In THIS case, we have a President who is BOTH 'strong, right, and a fighter' !!!

I don't care if any MAGAts recognize themselves as fascist-- the vast majority of the American people are learning the truth!
