Why Are They Treating Tr**p With Kid Gloves.....

what are they afraid of? Is he holding something over their heads that they are afraid of that he might release?

Something doesn't seem right here. If it was anybody else in TFG predicament - they'd be indicted, convicted and jailed by now.

Why are they carefully stepping around all the facts that point to TFG's criminal and treasonous actions? Why are they treating him with 'kid gloves'?

Also, gulianie got started as a mob prosecutor.

Just speculation as to why prosecuitors don't go after him...as a CI he would be given immunity for his crimes in order for prosecutors to get the mob bosses.

2) They need to give extra time so TFG can't argue he wasn't given enough time.
3) DoJ collected enough evidence for "intent" of the crime. "Intent" didn't seem to matter for other people but apparent it is for TFG.

They may worry that if they do anything drastic to Trump, Republicans may do the same thing to Democratic presidents in retaliation.
That's why even taking the documents was carefully considered before they acted on it.

"When you strike at a king, you must kill him."
Trump requires having a level of irrefutable evidence that guarantees a 100% chance of conviction. All it takes is one, just one Trump supporter on a jury and he could be acquitted or there could be a hung jury.
If Trump were to be acquitted it would springboard him to the 2024 campaign as an "innocent" man being persecuted by the evil Biden Administration.
I say DOJ should take all the time they need to gather all the evidence they need.

There is NO margin of error here. None, zero, zip, nada. I'd be shocked if the DOJ weren't being cautious. Why wouldn't they be? They are navigating in completely uncharted waters here, and the stakes are about as high as it gets.

Moving on the slobfather quickly is not nearly as important as getting it RIGHT. A swing and a miss is not an option. They have to hit a home run on the first pitch. And not just any home run; they need to hit it out of the park and into the next county, if not the next freaking dimension.

In addition to the above, we need to accept the fact that there is a lot we don't know. We can't read Merrick Garland's mind, and we have no way of knowing what he is thinking or what he is planning, much less what factors he has to take into account that we have no knowledge of. Assuming we know anything about his intentions, much less his emotional state (i.e. that he's scared), is highly unrealistic.

He either knows what he's doing or he doesn't. If he knows what he's doing (and his track record says he does), we have to trust that he's doing what needs to be done. If he does NOT know what he's doing (which I strongly believe is NOT the case), we're all fucked anyway, and arresting TFG tomorrow would not change that.

And longer to convict him.

His espionage crimes were as bad as Trump’s, possibly worse, and he wasn’t a FPOTUS.

Enough with the “if it were any other person, they’d be in jail now” mythology.

The names of “numerous” covert U.S. intelligence operatives overseas are contained in the massive quantity of sensitive information a former National Security Agency contractor is accused of hoarding at his Maryland home, federal prosecutors said Thursday.

Prosecutors made the startling assertion in a legal filing urging a federal judge in Baltimore to keep computer specialist Harold Martin behind bars while he awaits trial in the case.

“Information stolen by the Defendant includes numerous names of intelligence officers of the United States,” prosecutors wrote. “These officers operate under cover outside the United States, and putting the secrecy of their identities at risk by removing information about those identities from appropriate, secure storage not only endangers the lives and safety of those officers and the individuals with whom they work, but also risks exposure of American intelligence operations.”

44. The NSA alerted the FBI about Martin
Sun Aug 28, 2022, 06:14 AM
Aug 2022

The FBI then had a SWAT Team to break into Martin's home and arrest him at gun point but that was because the FBI thought he was the source of the Shadow Brokers theft.

"While attempting to trace the source of the Shadow Brokers leak in the summer of 2016, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was alerted by the NSA to an internet post made by Martin, who allegedly communicated via the Twitter account @HAL_999999999.[23][24][25] Martin used Twitter to contact Kaspersky Lab, a Russian cyber-security firm, which in turn alerted the National Security Agency.[26][27] The FBI originally believed Martin to be the source of the Shadow Brokers thefts of NSA hacking tools, and used the information provided by Kaspersky researchers to execute a search warrant on Martin's modest residence in suburban Glen Burnie, Maryland, deploying a SWAT team, setting up roadblocks, breaking down the front door with a battering ram, and deploying flash bangs inside the house before removing Martin at gunpoint.[26][28] Instead, the FBI and Maryland State Police reported discovering over 50 terabytes of classified data within the residence, in an unlocked shed, and within Martin's personal vehicle.[29][30][31]"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harold_T._Martin

As for TFG, it was the National Archives which referred the matter of the missing files to the DOJ which in turn directed the FBI to obtain a search warrant and recover the files.
