So, if there are riots over an arrest of Trump, then there will be arrests of rioters.

I suspect that Trump is sending out this talking point to his surrogates in an attempt to intimidate DOJ with threats. It won't work. Arresting and convicting a traitor is too important to be intimidated by threats.

There will no doubt be some violence over the arrest when it comes (if the orange coward does not flee first). It will not be a spontaneous, grass roots rebellion. It will be organized and backed by Trump's accomplices.

Many of those cases were decided by judges Trump appointed.

Many of the criminal cases required a grand jury made up of a mixture of Americans (Democrats, Republicans, Independents) or the indictment and/or search warrant or in a few cases, for the conviction (all 12 jurors).

I've seen it my whole life. Tell a bunch of Americans the truth and the facts and they will come down on the side of right nearly every time.

A lot of the division in America is because the media is not doing that faithfully. Americans aren't getting "news" and the facts. Too frequently, they're getting spin, distortion, lies, falsehoods, false equivalencies, etc. Rather than presenting Americans with the blunt, clear facts like a court case does, and letting Americans use their heads and hearts and sense of right and wrong to decide, they get politically slanted BS to distort their judgement.

We've suffered some wrong in the courts with Roe v Wade or Citizens United for example. Or a dishonest AG who kneecaps Mueller's report (before obstruction charges could get to court). But the DoJ and courts have proven to be a much more reliable place to sort out many of these crimes than the tainted court of public opinion in the media (owned by the American oligarchs).

Trump seems like he is in trouble in the Georgia elections case.
Looks like the Trump organization might get shutdown with tax evasion and fraud in NY
Trump is in legal trouble for Jan 6th as he should be.

But this case is very interesting because law enforcement finally got to peek behind Trump's curtain and see things he really did not want them to see. They have an open and shut case on illegal possession of classified documents. The search warrant delivered the goods. They have a darn good case on obstruction via concealment. Nearly everyone agrees they have enough to indict. But I think the best is yet to come - what he did not want them to see.

When Americans are advised of that, I doubt there will be much trouble. His followers will feel duped and betrayed.

In the interim, though at times, it feels like banging your head against a brick wall, keep hammering your MAGA acquaintances with the truth and the facts. Americans do pretty well with those. If you flip a few between now and November, the Democrats could keep the House.
