Hillary Clinton said Wednesday that Donald Trump would be a “puppet” for Russian President Vladimir Putin, if the Republican presidential nominee were elected to the White House.

After Trump attacked Clinton during the third and final presidential debate, saying Putin had “no respect” for her or President Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee shot back, “Well, that’s because he’d rather have a puppet as president of the United States.”

2. I remember people insisting it was just an excuse when OBVIOUSLY Trump has been in with

international organized crime, especially Russia, for many decades. History and reality somehow disappeared.

We New Yorkers knew about his mob connections forever. Since he first started building buildings in NYC. He got his concrete from the mob.
You didn't have to read any book to know that, you just had to live in NYC or thereabouts, back in the day, to know that.
Why NYC didn't lock him up before all this crap is beyond me.

Knew Donny's modus operendi. That was to keep the case in court as long as possible, and make as many appeals as possible.
Vance probably also had pressure on him from the moneyed interests in NYC to let the orange menace go. Or perhaps mob protection for Orange Julius Caesar. With the amount he spent on mob concrete, I wouldn't put it past a quid pro quo between the two of them.

I don't understand how old people from around the country who absolutely read the tabloids and knew all about his scandals erased all of that from their memories and loved Trump. Because of a reality TV show, I guess.

As with all his "acting" assistants/cabinet members, it's impossible to think of all of them at once. And every single day we learn of new ones - and each crime is more serious than than the previous one. I used to wonder what history would make of this period in this country, but we've learned about so much more since then. It will take more than one history course to study each of his crime sprees.
