Oh you don't like that your tax money paid off some student loans? Yeah, well I don't like that my taxes go to the military/industrial complex -- AKA the war machine. Aid to Israel, regime changes, or the fossil fuel industries.

(7,609 posts)I also do not like paying Texas property taxes of which the major percentage is school taxes since I do not have children. I've never complained about it because I think we all benefit from an educated population. However I do not support funding religious schools, vouchers, charter, or any other variation of alternative public education. The primary reason our taxes go up is that Texas has cut education funding every year and pushed the burden on taxpayers instead of using their precious fossil fuel revenue. They have no problem giving businesses tax cuts, subsidizing some of the most profitable businesses, or raising holy hell if cities try to raise their minimum wage or help their citizens.
I don't remember anyone being held accountable for the 2008 bank bailouts or the 1.7T tax cut for the wealthy or for the increasing military budget, or the 450B to bailout farmers because TFG put tariffs on China.
The GOP can go straight to hell.....
