(31,706 posts)Sadly...no we're not done with Rover yet. Many of us thought he was done when "the math" didn't work out in '08 but he did come back grifting on the heels of the teabagging scam to become a player with his SuperPac. He was in the right place at the right time...again...in '10 and he positioned Crossroads to be the conduit for many right wing pockets this year. If he doesn't deliver the Senate on Tuesday (along with a Willard win) and if the rushpublicans lose seats in the House, I'm sure he'll have a lot of explaining to do...but he's not done yet.
He's surely gonna try to pivot quickly to 2014 and hope to play on a a suppressed Democratic vote in the off-years to become the big player again. That's where his final act will be and that Democrats should not fall asleep in the off years and work to prove once and for all you can't buy the electorate.

(90,032 posts)You hit the bull's eye again, KharmaTrain. We will NOT be rid of rove anytime soon. He might take a few in the shorts after next Tuesday, especially if he fails to deliver to his investors. They won't appreciate seeing most of their hundreds of millions of dollars simply flushed down the toilet. They're looking for a big-ass return on investment, as all investors do. And it appears they may not get it - especially if Dems hold the Senate as well as the White House. And if we make gains in the House of Reps - even better!!!!
And at that point, we damn well better get our asses to the statehouses and make sure we take back as many governorships as we can in the upcoming midterms. Look what happens when a CON gets in - as Governor OR Secretary of State. We need to have pro-active movement to head these people off, check their every move, anticipate where they'll strike next, and get there first.
But rest assured - kkkarl rove will not be hanging it up anytime soon. And if he loses, he's gonna be more motivated than ever for revenge. After all, it's his "reputation" and his "good name" (COUGH! GAG! WHEEZE!) on the line!

(2,397 posts)......how do you get people motoviated in a mid-term? We had a very low turnout 2 years ago in Calif. becasue everyone is snoozing, or too tired to get involved. It depresses the hell out of me. If we had higher turnout, we would have Congress....now!

He has the b(m)illionaires convinced that if they just give him their money, he will make certain their interests are protected and advanced. I wonder what his consultant's salary is from GPS Crossroads super pac? The perma-frost princess uses him as a her goal.

He is still sitting there, a look of terror on his face and tightly gripping his Binky.
the Koch Brothers are up in the Owners Box waiting to talk to him.

Glad you're here. I like that metaphor you've created! We need all the good and clever and adhesive metaphors and similes and word pictures we can get! Adhesive ones meaning they stick in the brain! We need you! Time is growing SOOOOoooooo short. Let's win this thing.
Now get back to work.

(71 posts)This comment leaves the crap diaper firmly at Rove's feet. I don't think he cared for Romney himself, but he did offer his services to get him elected. Too bad the Dems beat him at his own game this time. Too much rich food makes your mind a little dull, so Rove got outflanked and flat-out creamed.
I hope he has a VERY good explanation for people who spent metric assloads of money to get their man Mitt in the White House but instead have to watch him go down in a slo-mo blaze of fail.
Rove, just be thankful you haven't been arrested yet. I hope that's next for you.

(71 posts)When this is all over and Romney is blubbering out his concession speech, make sure you two pay Karl Rove a "visit". My thought on this is you two deserve to have all of your monies reimbursed as Rove failed to deliver what I'm sure he promised you, Magic Underwear Mitt sitting pretty in the White House on Nov. 7th.
Rove, you might want to have your passport and fake beard ready to go on Tuesday night, bruh...
