Rather than talk about stolen secrets in the closet and espionage, let's talk about "riots" and violence and getting back into the White House.
It has worked to some degree but folks are not going to forget that some asshole, a former president, stole boxes of documents and moved them to his home in Mar-a-lago. Some of them were of the highest Top Secret classification. It is so shocking that most folks cannot wrap their minds around it.
And the Republicans, just as they did after the attempted coup of January 6th, were very critical or silent for a few days, then jumped back on the Trump bandwagon.
They seem to be ready to do the same with the stolen documents. It looked so bad, and it was, that most of the Republicans hid out for a few days or refused to comment on the theft of America's secrets. But once again, they seem ready to jump back on the bandwagon.
Their Leader, Benedict Donald, the thief, has been teetering on the edge of panic with his off-the-wall attacks. He doesn't want anyone to talk about espionage and his foiled attempt to keep all the secrets for himself.
It appears that the Republicans are, once again, ready to jump in the flames to protect their Dear Leader.

(21,290 posts)I'm not so sure.
What crimes could Trump commit that would have everyone saying, yeah, he needs to go to jail? Shooting a puppy? Having sex with an 8 year old?
Selling out our democracy to the highest bidder, getting our intelligence agents killed isn't enough.

(21,290 posts)MSNBC and CNN are owned and managed by domestic oligarchs. There are a handful of decent MSNBC anchors left but it is Steve Kornacki time. The MSM will shift its attention to the election.
Sadly, DOJ may go silent leading up to the election even if people involved aren't on the ballot.
