the DOJ release of that picture showing classified docs on the carpet

clearly indicates that they are committed to go forward and indict.

After that they cant possibly decide to not press charges and say there was not enough evidence.

If they were trying to avoid charging Trump, they would have stayed low key instead of releasing this explosive picture.

I am convinced Garland has already decided to charge Trump as soon as he has an airtight case.

They tried to stay low key. TFG made the search public, very public, and has forced their hand. RockRaven Aug 2022 #7
That's what so ironic- if he had only stayed quiet about the search, none of this would be public wishstar Aug 2022 #10

FBI laid them out on the floor and took pics to document as evidence of what they found in that room along with the measuring stick which is routine procedure.

There's little reason to believe the DOJ would have proceeded with a criminal case if TFG et al had just kept quiet. It's because he called them out publicly that they have to proceed in order to save face.

He kept quiet all the way until the search thinking it would all blow over with no repercussions and he would get to keep most of the classified docs. But the surprise search threw him into a panic spreading dangerous false accusations against DOJ and FBI forcing their hand to make the warrant public, then the affidavit and now this latest response to his stupid court filing.
