General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsFormer Intelligence Officer Sue Gordon is on MSNBC with Nicolle Wallace.
She just said that Trump knows so much intelligence that he can basically destroy the whole world.
She has said in a very diplomatic way that Trump has "his own agenda" and all she can do is hope he understands the responsibility of having the information.
Translation by madaboutharry: Trump is insane and we better pray he doesn't blab to our enemies.
Who thinks that horse is already out of the barn?

(2,563 posts)tRump is clinically insane and a massive danger to the country and the world! As far as the documents go, they are long since compromised.

(6,584 posts)those purloined documents could be "out there" floating around. Nicolle, at that point reacted with, "You just made the hair on my neck stand up." Am thankful that Biden removed djt from getting ex-Presidential briefings.

(9,714 posts)Hillary warned us. Anyone paying attention knew.
The right wing trolls didn't care. They wanted someone to "blow it all up". They should have been more specific, because it's granny and Aunt Fae in her stupid red hat that are as much at risk as the rest of us who tried to prevent it all from happening.

(100,133 posts)Hubby came in a bit after it started and when Nicolle would ask a question, hed say, She (meaning Sue Gordon) cant answer that! to which Id invariably respond, She already did believe me, she did, you just have to read between the lines.
The entire segment, including afterward with Figliuzzi and Litman, was exceedingly good. If I wasnt already so informed from reading DU (and linked sources), Id be swooning on the floor from the shock.

(31,350 posts)yet no one seems to be talking about that. he's got some here, some there, some in his personal desk...why? what would be the reason for that?

(476 posts)Than salacious ones like the one he purports to have against macron...so my bet is that not only are we severely compromised, ppl have been killed, but that Flynn assisted in picking documents. Even with seasoned, rock steady pres Biden at the helm, who will trust us.
An aside, betcha intelligence sent some phony info his way, while in wh, just to see where it would end up, same with jared

(13,560 posts)I believe Trump was most likely leaking top secret information while he was in office. Payment could be made in hidden loans or money in offshore accounts. Trump is a crook at heart, and greedy. He will do anything for money, and having had access to some of the top secrets the US has for well over a year, there is no way he resisted the opportunity to monetize that access. Trumps casinos were a high-speed laundromat for laundering Russian money. He has lots of contacts.
This will not only cost our intelligence service millions of dollars to change procedures and people because they will not know what Trump has compromised, it may also shut off some sharing of intelligence from other countries for awhile as they deal with their own potential damagenot to mention threatening the lives of people in the field and potentially for ing the dismantling of networks that took decades to build. I doubt we will ever learn the extent of the fallout from Trumps crimes, but I think it will be very serious.

(884 posts)She said in no uncertain terms that there is absolutely no reason for him to have those documents. None, zero, nada, etc. No good will come from this .that is certain.

(97,265 posts)It makes no sense to allow that grave of a threat to national security to remain free to continue to run his mouth unencumbered, causing the danger he presents to grow.

(26,168 posts)This is why the thought that he can't be touched until after the midterms is so frightening and frustrating. The sooner he's locked up, the better everyone will sleep at night.
Another problem is, there are too many loose ends, too many people involved who helped him steal the documents and who may have helped him stash some of them who knows where. How long will it take the FBI and DOJ to compile evidence for charges against them? Likely way too long to leave tfg free to run around and run his mouth. Can they even find them all?

(6,262 posts)without interruption; she also asked terrific questions. It was truly a superb interview, and I was so glad that I had the TV tuned to MSNBC.
Ms. Gordon was extremely professional and guarded in her answers, but even so painted a rather bleak picture.
