(23,953 posts)I just made a suggestion in Meta that there be some sort of "referred by" feature, so those who know people here who can vouch for them can post safely...lol.
It's easy to word things wrong and come across as a troll. I suggested to freemay20 that he always word things from the perspective of an uber skeptical long-time DUer who assumes a new person is a troll.
And when I say new, I mean less than 3000 posts!

(23,953 posts)I didn't have time to try to find something short and sweet and to the point to respond to FB friends posting the Romney crap.
A fairly rational person posted that, which really upset me, and I wanted to reply.
I asked freemay20 if he had anything quick to respond with, and he instead posted here, knowing you guys are a wealth of information.
I don't blame people for assuming someone with a low post count is a troll. All I can tell you is that he is not a troll.
It would be great if we had a "referred by" feature, so we could rest assured when someone really isn't a troll.

I just don't understand why people are so involved with FB.
I find it almost impossible to discuss anyt political stuff outside of DU because its so hard to find people that have enough information to have a sensible conversation.

(23,953 posts)Too much twitter-like posts going on for my taste, and indeed way too many trolls.
I hear you about FB. I have most right-wingers on ignore. But the person who posted the graphic in the OP really surprised me, as I thought she was reality based.

(273 posts)Romney's proven that facts are immaterial. So how would one debunk something that is probably made up in the first place?

(31,011 posts)Ernst & Young is a huge accounting firm. Baker Institute is of James Baker (repug) who was in the thick of the repuke economics.
That should be all you require.
on edit: Ernst & Young was an accounting firm for Lehman Brothers. That alone debunks anything that they say.

(243 posts)Hey PDOG,, are you the "who belongs here police"? Looking at your post count, you do not have much more experience on here than I do. If you can not be of help, then go play on the porch with the puppies. My question was to hope to get insight from the big dogs. Go yelp and piddle on your leg somewhere else.

(243 posts)Thank you for explaining it to me in a civil manner. I was looking for ways to rebuke it. I have seen other things like this being asked by people on here. Once again, thank you for taking the proper approach and explaining it to me.

"Romneys claim of seven million new jobs from his tax plan, and 12 million new jobs from his policies in total, is also less impressive than it sounds. Both Moodys Analytics and Macroeconomic Advisors have predicted the economy will create roughly that amount by 2016 no matter who is president."
By the way. Sounds a little like troll bait to me.

(17,276 posts)This is not about Romney but Scott Walker, Wisconsin's GOP governor. He has promised to add 250,000 jobs to Wisconsin by the end of 2015, the end of his term. So far his economy has added just a bit less than 10% of those. So goes the usual Republican ideology when actually played out.
