They whine that thermostats are locked by gov't in CA and CO to 78 or so degrees in Summer and that farmers are fined for cow emissions (well humans fart too, what about that, duhhh)? OMG.
JUST WAIT until one of them or their kids gets their periods monitored BY THE GOVERNMENT (the one in the South) to make sure the incubator on legs isn't getting an abortion. THAT PART of 'big guvmint' doesn't bother them.

But I'm astounded at the selfishness, ignorance and grievance coming from them in group texts. They're mad that their employer believes in diversity and won't only hire white males for all the management jobs (and the white male manager wants a promotion but gripes he can't get one because he "doesn't have the right pronouns and isn't Hispanic". I suspect there are OTHER reasons he isn't being promoted. And he hates his employer anyway.)
They're mad at electric cars (while griping how hot it is out there). They're mad that the big bad government can control their 'smart' thermostats at times to keep the grid from failing completely like it does in TX (all while griping how hot it is out there). They're mad that they have to pay taxes (while living on social security and medicare, which are paid for by people's taxes). They're refuse to get vaccines - some of them - and they're mad about any mandates around that. They refuse to vote for Democrats because they are DEATHLY AFRAID of "socialism', even though the US has never been ANYWHERE NEAR SOCIALIST -- and all the while Fascism is STARING THEM RIGHT IN THE DAMN FACE. And even though the Fascists promised to ABOLISH their Social Security & Medicare they're living on and can't survive without - they're STILL going to vote MAGA/Fascist. But they seem to prefer that as long as they vote against NON-EXISTENT "socialism".
WHEN (not if) their (and all of our) social security & Medicare is taken away or cut to the bone; and when (not IF) they experience AUTHORITARIANISM and FASCISM (because THAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW and they're COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS TO IT), they'll blame Democrats and some non-existent "socialism" that never existed here, for it.
I mean they're real ignoramuses, knuckle-draggers, selfish, never-grew-up, "it's all about ME ME ME!" ; "Waaah! I'm SO inconvenienced!" twits. FACTS are irrelevant to them. Democracy doesn't mean SHIT to them. NOTHING means shit to them except that THEY get what THEY want every minute of every day; that THEY are never the least inconvenienced by the issues they themselves are often causing or helping to cause (and God FORBID they should have to change their damn behavior or habits one little whit along with everyone else to fix these issues); that THEIR opinions, THEIR religion, and beliefs are DOMINANT in all society and IMPOSED upon the majority of others who disagree with them -- preferably imposed via the gov't and/or courts enforcing THEIR preferred status quo on everyone else. Just like the MAGA supreme court overturning Roe even though MOST OF THE COUNTRY believe abortion should remain safe and legal at least in some circumstances.
They believe that ONLY what they read on Facebook or in their MRA meetings is legit (ie: "social security is all in the general fund now anyway!" - IT. IS. ABSOLUTELY. NOT.). But Facebook said so, so that's that. Don't EVEN try to tell the vacuum-packed MAGA twit otherwise. It will absolutely NOT sink in.
EDIT: There is ONE thing -- I sit there LAUGHING MY ASS OFF (worried as hell that almost half of America is this selfish and ignorant and votes accordingly though) -- at this passel of morons that I am sadly related to. And they have NO IDEA, as I sit there silently, not participating in their little "guvmit bad, we hates!" fest -- that I'm also laughing my ass off at them. Pfft.
