for the life of me....

it;s like all typical procedures go out the door, because the biggest most powerful and dangerous criminal in our history, is too powerful, too big to jail.

4. How much has this fiasco cost the U.S.?

All this time and effort trying to fix everything that's wrong with the former guy's criminal activities has to be costing the U.S. taxpayer a pretty penny. Property seizure would seem to be in order, since the former guy ain't got no money.

6. I'm guessing they think there is more and they are waiting to catch him in the act of selling it....

Remember, they for sure know what is missing and what is not missing, they keep impeccable records of Top Secret documents.

I bet they have more that they know he has and are waiting for him to explicitly say on wire tap "I'll sell you X for 10 million bucks" Just make the check out to Jared and this fake charity we set up.

There is no way in a million years they aren't tracking all his movements and listening to all of his phone calls and probably installed microphones in Mar-a-lago and Trump Tower and stuff, just waiting for him to continue implicating himself.

8. Yes. The FBI should have had him under 24/7 surveillance hoping to catch him in the act.

And his cronies and helpmates.

But this is Trump, who is special and fearsome, so who knows what the FBI is doing or not doing.

9. We don't know that they didn't. What we DO KNOW....

is that this investigation started at least a year ago, 9+ months at least before any of us knew anything was happening.

This is how investigations work, is they try to tie all the pieces together and they see who all Trump is contacting and they probably already have video of who he showed the documents to, so they know his foreign allies and know who not to trust, and they are trying to uncover the cabal behind the whole thing.

Trump is our "big fish" in it because we all hate him so much because he is so horrible, but this could be the leaders of other nations, even our allies, that asked Trump to get this stuff. We are pretty sure he is selling secrets to Russia and Saudi Arabia, but what if the leader in Germany asked Trump to do something, then we would need to know that too. It is a world wide web of spies and anti-american conspiracy.

And I do understand the complexity and nuance.

But Americans deserve some answers and reassurance.

That there is a thing called rule of law.

And that the FBI knows how the breeches occurred and what corrective measures have been taken.
And how bad the damage is.

If the US wants to be a beacon of democracy and trusted superpower, the world needs to see it to believe it.

... and probably since he left office, given all the criminality - the coup, the stolen classified info, etc.

And I'm sure others are right and the Feds know a hell of a lot more than we do.

But we lose standing in the eyes of the world the longer he remains free after hanging onto other countries' nuclear secrets for 18 months. For the security of the world and international relations we need to arrest him and seize his properties as instruments of crimes committed.

Why the hell haven't they gotten search warrants for his other shitholes yet?
