Fuck Bill Barr and his play to rehabilitate his reputation. If he'd hadn't helped TFG spin out of Russia-gate and otherwise do his bidding as AG we might not be dealing with all this shit now.

(4,700 posts)I was just listening to that sack of shit talking about the orange hog. . . . He enabled tRump, lied for him, covered for him, and broke the law for him, and NOW he's talking shit about him? Too little, too fucking late. . . .

thinks he can talk shit about Trump and all is forgiven...he thinks if he testifies before the J6 committee and throws in a "bullshit" or two all is forgiven...sorry, Bill, you don't get a rewrite...we were there when you lied for Trump, obstructed Mueller's investigation, lied to Congress, enabled Trump's malignant revenge..our memories are long...now go the fuck away!

gratuitous
(82,849 posts)Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III was on his way out, having worn out his welcome for being in sufficiently appreciative of the former guy's unique administration of his office. Letting little things like ethical considerations, and black letter law get in the way of what the former guy wanted. Not every time, of course, but often enough that the former guy grew disenchanted with the little Jiminy Cricket wannabe.
So Bill Barr, long time scofflaw behind the scenes of so many sordid episodes in our nation's history, wrote a 19 page memo that demonstrated he wasn't quite so constrained as AG Sessions by niggling questions of law in pursuit of whatever the former guy wanted this week. And so Bill Barr was named AG, ready to run the Department of Justice as Donald Trump's personal law firm, and the client was never presented a bill. Heaven for Donald!
Now Bill would like it a lot if everyone would forget all that craven sucking up, weaselly testimony at congressional hearings, and the rest of it. Can Bill speak now? He needs to remind everyone of just how smart he can be.

(196,502 posts)trying to hone down the edges on his story and I cant stand it. F him. F all of them especially the ones, like Barr, who came in later. They knew who and what they were dealing with. Control him? like Kelly said? NO. Screw them. All of them.

(26,507 posts)He's afraid that Tr**p can still bring him down and he'll get sucked into Tr**p's downfall.
He's trying to rally some support by trying to make people believe that he's come to the other side.
But Tr**p will get him cause everything Tr**p touches dies. Barr's career will die.

(17,377 posts)what hes saying tells us tfgs sun is setting, and soon. Barr wants to be relevant for the next GOP autocrat, and can only do that by not swirling around and down the drain with TFG and his entourage of rats who wont be so lucky.

(5,125 posts)Barr has the Catholic opus dei/right wing philosophy of the end justifies the means. To Barr any method (ethical or unethical) of getting Roe overturned was acceptable. He got it, so the slobfather goes under the bus. He's no longer useful. So one rat eating another rat is OK by me. Barr maybe trying to rehabilitate himself, but - fuck him - it ain't gonna work. He's just one rat ratting out another.

(13,003 posts)coming forwards now, after aiding and abetting Trump for years can only mean one thing. They are running scared of getting dragged into colluding with Trump iif Turmp really is prosecuted.
I would get writers cramp listing all the Republicans I can remember that colluded to bring down our government.
They all had time of their lives, but now don't want to be held accountable for their felony illegal acts
