(20,733 posts)Add that to Kansas, and I'm starting to think maybe the human race isn't totally effed.
You know it will pass. Even men want abortion, so, it will pass.

(13,874 posts)Why use Posted without Comment as a thread title? I know I can just ignore those posts (and I usually do) and please ignore my comments if you find them out of line.

"Found on Facebook."
BFD. You found something on Facebook.
The thread heading should, IMO, tell the reader something about what he/she is clicking on. Ideally, it would choose the most important element of the story/opinion.

(5,785 posts)... someone blames every bad thing on earth on facebook, and folks pile on by advocating the authoritarian elimination of our freedom of speech.

Memories from 10 years ago today... Who is she? 54 years after abortion, no regrets for 'Romper Room' host, but still sadness. In 1962. Sherri was 30, married, already the mother of four and pregnant with her fifth child when she learned that a tranquilizer she had taken for morning sickness had been linked to severe birth defects. In July of that year, she made a life-altering decision that would generate international headlines, send her halfway around the world and turn her into a symbol in a fight that had barely begun.
Ad for Washington Post. 40$ instead of 100$. Hey, I already subscribe! Shouldn't Zuck have told them?
"The Other 98%" Is pissed off that people are complaining about a black hobbit. (And I don't blame them.)
A friend notes with some ambivalence the passing of the queen. A friend of a friend replies with some greater indifference.
Friend dog picture. Boring.
Smart ass friend posts gag cartoon about professional tans. The but crack plumber is the but of the joke. Hey, that's going to be my reply! I'll get a like for that!
Are you a Nigerian female who has published a full book in print? Umm, no. But thanks for asking!
Philo Thoughts sends a quote from James Baldwin, from The Fire Next Time.
I got five likes on Science Humor for my quip about chlorinated table salt.
A friend advises CA to build affordable housing to help with the teacher crisis. I'm giving him a like.
A friend suggests that we turn off lights to aid song bird migration. Another like!
The Unitarian Universalist Hysterical Society provides some fake archeology showing a drunk Egyptian vomiting hieroglyphics. Drink like an Egyptian ?
St. Martins' Press: Andrew Koppelman's BURNING DOWN THE HOUSE is a lively history of American libertarianism and its decay into dangerous fantasy. I'll check it out - from the local socialist book repository - the public library. How anti-libertarian of me.
Another Queen post. Less ambivalent. No like from me.
Finally a Queen post I can appreciate - memes concerning the past crimes of the british empire, speculation on her admittance to one or the other of two different spiritual realm, and the reactions of those who she might meet there.
Well, way past my bed time. Good night!
