If Chief Justice Roberts is so concerned about the criticism of Court, he could

do much about its "legitimacy" by requiring Thomas to recuse himself from any decision about J6. Gini's role in fomenting the insurrection is indisputable and she should be indicted along with the other insurrectionists.

Roberts is an absolute joke. Like you said, resign, and agree the court needs to be expanded.

A lot of people seem to think the Chief Justice has control over the court when they don't really have any additional powers. They can steer discussion a bit and assign decisions if they are in the majority, but they have no power over their fellow justices in any way.
