because it implies a certain amount of helplessness which these false macho MAGA people really are. And it is more friendly than the word "zombies" which will get their claws out and their ears closed.

with their "certain amount of helplessness" ) to "validate" each others' grievance has turned this into a huge problem. And into an extremely powerful tool wielded left and right by populist leaders to destroy belief in current governments. It's like the entire planet is being used by dangerous people as a Petrie dish for growing grievance.
In any case, "grievance bunnies" sounds like the kind of gentle blowback at perpetual victimhood notions that people should be giving. It's far too gentle to apply to just the RW grievance subtype, though, who've become a critical national emergency.
MAGAs really are the same kind of RW authoritarian followers who supported whatever Adolf Hitler called for. (For obvious reasons, they're again being intensively studied, here and around the planet.) Our MAGAs even already have a holocaust under their belt and with victory in sight are both ready to rage and enraged at the threat of being stopped. Reassured of their own safety by the size of their pack, they're eager to destroy all opposition and then get to the various groups they have targeted for persecution. So..."bunnies" for only them? 
For resistance to the dangerous growth of weaponized grievance, "whiny snowflakes" also sounds appropriate, as said, except that meaning currently depends entirely on knowing who's insulting who on what subject. 
To the right, it already means Democrats/socialists.

Governments of, by and for the people REQUIRE the direction and involvement of committed electorates. They're not gravity, they don't work without us.
