Kenneth Starr, the polarizing former independent counsel who led a highly publicized investigation of then-President Bill Clinton, has died at the age of 76, according to his family.
He died at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center in Houston of complications from surgery, his family said.

(10,924 posts)Starr rejected accusations that his pursuit of Clinton was politically motivated.
"I was assigned to do a job by the attorney general, and that was to find out whether crimes were committed in this (Paula Jones) sexual harassment lawsuit," Starr said at the time. "The whole idea of equal justice under law means that you've got to play by the rules. It has nothing to do with the underlying subject matter. You just tell the truth."
Of course, their hypocrisy has no reason.
