I don't get the sense that the Democratic Party is outraged enough over long lines.....

I mean, if this was happening in GOP precincts, they would somehow get enough/more voting machines.

Slow walking too little machines of dubious quality into Democratic precincts?

I mean people love Democracy and all, but come on, 7 hours to wait to vote is voter suppression, no matter how you look at it.

The Democratic Party STILL needs a wake up call.....even if Obama wins.

This is obviously going to mean hundreds of thousands of people will not vote, if not millions. Some people are physically not able to wait that long or they do not have the time available. An hour of waiting should be the absolute maximum. Probably cost John Kerry and Al Gore their elections. I have not heard any outrage by politicians. I would like to know, why not?

They just show up during some presidential races. People need to vote in every election. It's embarrassing that the Repubs have a steadier voting pattern than the Dems. So of course they are going to have consistent service.

People have to STOP being occassional voters and take back control of their states! They have to vote EVERY year and even if they can't do a primary, at least do a yearly GE. The state, county, and local parties need to get it together and scare the crap out of people so this sort of thing doesn't keep happening over and over.

Democrats traditionally do better in early voting than republicans, while republicans come out in mass on election day. Which is why cutting early vote hours is designed to benefit republicans.

President Obama is working on this quietly, on the ground. You have a responsibility as well, if you go to your polling place and there are overly long lines, call your election board and complain. Then call a local Obama headquarters and complain, so they know about the situation too.

I think the Dems filed a suit over the weekend to extend early voting in FL, and many are working behind the scenes. Still, I see your point and agree with you. This should be our battle cry. Fair elections, including making the SOS position non-partisan, petitioning to allow felons who've paid their debt to society to have their voting rights reinstated in every state, more polling places during elections, and getting rid of Citizens United. The last is probably the most urgent one because it will destroy our Democratic Republic.

They choose a republican governor AND a Republican Secretary of State after the 2000 disaster and they get what they deserve. This is not the first time they have waited hours and hours in line.
They must like it because no one is doing anything about it.
maybe, it is because I am from CT, but that would not go on around here with out everyone up in arms and something being done.
Okay, rant over....
Go ahead and beat me up. I said how I feel. Sorry
I am more mad that nothing has changed..
