I have to believe that people who go to these things are so brainwashed they can't think for themselves any longer. Either that or they have nothing in their lives to amuse them so they go to these rallies to have something to do.

Either way, we have some seriously effed up people in this country (I'm looking at you, Ohioans). I grew up there and I remember it as a state that had excellent educational institutions and voted the best library systems in the country at one time. Now it's like they've morphed into West Virginia.

24. I found myself watching the people behind her.

I had to laugh at how bored, disengaged, and uninterested they looked. One guy had his eyes glued to his phone like he was just ignoring the whole thing. Even when there was applause, a lot of them just kind of flapped their signs like they were shooing away flies. There were flickers of enthusiasm here and there, but most of them were like, "Meh, whatever."

I wonder if it's true that most (all?) of them are paid ringers. Or maybe they don't come to life until their orange messiah shows up?
