We have heard that many, many times.

But, with Merrick Garland, I wonder if it has more value?

He was going to be on the Supreme Court, but the under-rated fascist, Mitch McConnell, prevented him from getting a vote. Then McConnell went on to stack the Court with Trump nominees, chosen by the Federalist Society. Merrick Garland did not make it to the Supreme Court.

But, where would we be if he had made it to the Supreme Court? How much influence would he have had with the right-wing extremists now running the Court?

Instead, he was chosen to be the Attorney-General for Joe Biden's Administration. History has put him in a position that could possibly dictate whether our democracy lives or dies? He has been placed in a more important position than Supreme Court Justice.

He has shown extreme patience and courage in his bid to hold accountable those that attacked our nation's Capitol. In the interim, he is in the middle of a battle to retrieve national security documents stolen by the former president and taken to his country club in Florida.

He has repeatedly stated his intent to follow the law wherever it goes. More people now believe that he is deadly serious about it. History has called him to help save American democracy and he appears prepared to do the job.

People were angry that he was not chosen for the Supreme Court but it now looks like he was chosen for a bigger job.
