(21,763 posts)The US Tsunami Warning System has issued an alert warning that a tsunami is possible along the coast of Michoacan, Mexico.
According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre, possible tsunami waves could occur within 300km of the earthquakes epicentre.

(4,908 posts)Not seeing anything for central Oregon coast yet. I live very close to a bay, so tsunamis are serious here!
It's nice that DU has so many eyes. I often learn of important stuff faster on here than in my usual news sources.
