On the Today Show this morning, Tom Brokaw was talking about his views on the election.
He said he woke up with the words of Gerald Ford going through his head saying "My fellow Americans, our long national nightmare is over."
I'm sure that he will have defenders who claim that he was just referring to the craziness of the election process - I already heard that from some people - but I am not buying it. He was clearly referring to the current administration as "our long national nightmare" and that it will be over after the election.

(1,301 posts)given negative buzz words or examples when talking about
President Obama..I have been so surprised at his lack
of decorum, not to mention lack of thought that he exercises
all too frequently.

(220 posts)Not to defend Brokaw, but these 527s have completely taken over this campaign. I envy people who live in a solid blue or solid red state.

(36,789 posts)Republican nomination process. It went downhill from there with every week bringing another stupid statement by Romney or one of his supporters.

(2,795 posts)Yesterday I saw him mentioning mistakes Romney made and he included Romney ignoring the troops and our military. Guess he is facing reality of probable Romney defeat
But seems like this was first time I heard him call out Romney rather than making snide remarks about Obama.
