How the construction of my house was financed was not one of the things revealed to me when I purchased it. Don't think that's a usual practice anywhere, either.

There's an element of caveat emptor in play here.
Also, rents are inflated everywhere on Manhattan, so we'd get into how inflated, inflated is.
Could they sue? Sure.
Would they win? Unlikely.
I've been a juror. I think it would be hard to convince me that material harm was done.
