Because Trump has always been an agent for Putin.
And because he was so complimentary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the genius of Vladimir Putin.
If they find any documents missing, my bet would be those that are related to Ukraine.
But, no big deal. He could let whomever he wanted to see the documents, after he "de-classified" them with his mind.
Just a thought.

(766 posts)No one really talks about it but we have to presume that digital copies of all of it are on server(s) somewhere. This the real fear I am sure, that all of this classified information has already been scanned and distributed.
I was really surprised that no computers were taken during the search (as far as I know). Maybe they couldn't get enough probably cause to remove them.

(53,947 posts)That the FBI and CIA are seeking from the files.
The possession of the files is gonna be about the physical condition they're in, any fingerprints or trace data that are found in them, or what other papers are mixed in with them. The intelligence community certainly has full knowledge of what data/intel is in the file folders. The best reason for having a legal fight over these particular copies of the top secret files would be physical proof of who Trump showed them to.

The Republican-controlled Senate Intelligence Committee concluded in August 2020 that Manafort's ties to individuals connected to Russian intelligence while he was Trump's campaign manager "represented a grave counterintelligence threat" by creating opportunities for "Russian intelligence services to exert influence over, and acquire confidential information on, the Trump campaign.
There are others, I am sure.
