We have literal Nazis out there and no one is calling them Nazis.

I don't get it.

They have rallies, parades, salutes, and talk shows on the internet. GOPers are winking and nodding.

Ken Burns made that perfectly clear in his recent documentary.

Hatred, scapegoating, sadism, brutality, violence seems to be a human constant.

And Mussolini's rise.

I'm more afraid of Desantis than I am Trump. If we can stop Trumpism (Nazi/Hitler) -we can decimate the *polished* DeSantis (Beni) who was insidious and sneaky.

My husband's parents were children of WW 2. His late uncle was a close insider to Beni's circle - who flipped and went Partisan. When Trump won - he was still alive. He called my husband and told him to get his "pretty American wife out of there".

I think Zio Nicola was right . . . as an almost 100 year old man who lived it - he was watching in horror the repeat of history.

It is a ticket to an 8 year crime spree with no consequences.

Ungodly fortune to be made, and horrific and sadistic crimes to be committed.

As did my family. I thought he was a joke at first until he won the primary and then alarm bells went off. I wish we had left then, started the process immediately.

The NSDAP, Hitler’s party, were the National Socialists. Like all Europeans, the Germans love their abbreviations. The nationalist part, found in the first word “National,” is pronounced “NAH-tsee-oh-NAHL.” They just abbreviated their word for “National” to “NATI…” Being a French word originally, they took the German pronunciation, nah-tsee-oh-nahl, and just shortened it to the first two syllables. The “NAH-tsee” part is from the part of the party name that refers to their extreme nationalism. Göbbels used to rant on about how he reconciled the “Socialist” part in there, but that got quite convoluted, and Hitler himself tended to concentrate on the nationalism theme.

with the lie that they're establishment coastal elites who ignore the working/middle class. The average Trump voter was economically well off and white identity a reason to vote for him. Like this:

"I think there needs to be a profound change in the way the Democratic Party does business. It is not good enough to have a liberal elite. I come from the working class and I am deeply humiliated that the Democratic Party cannot talk to where I come from."
