GET A CAT SHIELD INSTALLED TODAY

Catalytic converter theft is exploding everywhere.

My sister just had a cat shield installed on her Toyota Prius for less than $300. (At my relentless urging)

Replacing a stolen cat costs several thousand dollars.

Catalytic converters contain precious metals- Rhodium, Palladium, Platinum.

Rhodium sells for around $15,000 an ounce.

Palladium and platinum are very valuable metals.

My sister's workplace has been hit with cat theft recently. Several of her coworkers had cat thefts.

Her car wasn't hit. The cat shield worked. Prius' are among the highest targeted car model for cat thieves.

My sister recently thanked me for urging her to get a cat shield installed.

The product works. Do some research on the best quality cat shield for you vehicle's model.

Street thieves can do nothing with CAT shields but take them to the person or persons at the top of the crime syndicate who is paying them to steal these converters. But guess who will be caught and sent to prison?

That little pet fence wouldn't keep him or his kind out.

I once saw an extremely hilarious photo essay of cat proof Xmas trees. Basically, the branches start at about ceiling height...

That tree is lovely, btw.

The catalytic converter doesn't get as hot, so the precious metals don't burn off as quickly.

Also any vehicle that has a higher ground clearance, like large SUVs and trucks, are at higher risk.

Not only are they expensive to replace, some models may be hard to come by and you could wait weeks or months for the replacement to come in.

We got hit multiple times

Last time the ins co said they wouldn’t pay anything if there was a next time

So far it’s working

I was so pissed I told the mechanics to weld rebar to my catalytic converter as well as put the shield on so anybody who looks under there is going to make another decision. Of course God forbid I have a problem with the cat I’ll have a hell of a time getting it off

I heard a loud vehicle idling right next to my car a few months back and then I heard the unmistakable sound of a little saw, an imagined salute vjjjj vjjjj

My preferred death? Suffocation by kitten pile.

As far as cars go, we started parking ours in the garage at night after the neighbor had their c.c. stolen.

Why wasn’t this an issue before? It was mostly radios etc. which were stolen. And if you sell an older car why don’t people remove them and sell those metals?

“A prius doesn’t even have a cat converter.” Then I remembered it has a gas engine!

It’s funny, you hear so much about ELECTRIC cars, you forget about hybrids.

key recognition chips in their cars from 2010 thru 2020. Thus far those that use Key fobs and a push button are not affected. More than 33 million are affected. My daughter's car was stolen in Cleveland last week. It was recovered with broken windows and a ripped-out Dash...Kia has not recalled these cars (why is it Ford and GM are constantly recalling but Kia and Hyundai are given a pass on this?). And they suggest you buy a club. Many older DUer's may remember were used in the 90's to lock the steering wheel to avoid theft...the hope is the thieves will move on to the next car and not destroy your car. Pretty shitty way to run a car company. They are going to pay a price for their behavior. My daughter said nothing would induce her to buy either a Hyundai or a Kia in the future.
