This Could Get Weird - JOSH MARSHALL

Josh Marshall has received a report which, though vague, bugs him. It bugs me too...

This Could Get Weird

JOSH MARSHALL NOVEMBER 5, 2012, 12:14 AM 14917
Listening to a story from a friend this evening. Guy in a social setting talking to a group of Wall Street heavyweights. Every single one in the room certain Romney wins. Has Ohio locked. Has the whole thing tied up. No doubt.

Think about how much egg will be on the faces of those who called this one wrong - no matter how it turns out. Will be one for the ages!

That's a surprise to many. Not especially so to me since I've been saying for some time that the GOP is not as formidable as we make them out to be. Palin and Romney were the clues that their 'strategy' is bullshit.

This made my stomach drop, but then I've been in a room full of rich, powerful men and this is how they talk. They're very good at projecting that they are 100% sure they're going to get what they want.

But looks like Obama is prepared.
I hope and assume.
I am wondering what good it does to go to court over the software patches in Ohio.
Voting is tomorrow.
How would we know what was flipped?

They also believe Clinton is such poison that having his endorsement killed Obama's campaign.

money to where they feel they've secured the win.

That's how it's been working in their workplace, and they think that's how the whole world works...just throw a lot of money and you'll always get your way.

It makes you wonder if they'll up the ante on their class warfare against the lower and middle classes if they don't like the election results.

Jesus, this sounds just like those reports of Mafiosi shootin' their mouths off about doing Kennedy in Jack Ruby's bar in Dallas. Reality ain't the movies. If there was a real lead for Romney, it'd show iup in the polls. If there was a dirty trick in the works, it woudn't be chat fodder in a semi-public setting.

Sorry, not buying it.
