(1,933 posts)I cannot stand the political ads - they are disgustingly repetitive - ALL of them.

(9,893 posts)The campaign is just too long when you include the primaries.
Maybe I'm just getting old.
As to Obama's chances, I'm cautiously optimistic.

(3,580 posts)The sooner those Koch roaches run back into the woodwork, the sooner we can get down to the business of helping to make this country good for ALL Americans, rich or poor, black or white, gay or straight, man or woman, wine imbiber or ganja afficianado or even teatotaler, LOL. Hey folks this is our country too, and I think we're going to win this one!

(11,856 posts)... "guardedly optimistic" right now.

(22,143 posts)But that's no reason not to keep pushing until the polls close.

(47,953 posts)If the votes are counted correctly, Obama will win. I'm just not rock solid sure that it will happen, given 2000 and 2004. Will probably feel that way the rest of my life before big elections.

(78,978 posts)I love elections. I'm probably somewhere in between your first two choices: I am confident about tomorrow's results; I've already invested a lion's share of the work required for local, state, and the presidential election; and I am relaxed and enjoying every minute between now and Wednesday morning.

Yup, it will be insane.

(34,658 posts)I really have a lot of anxiety. I wish I could magically make it 48 hours from now and Obama has already won.
I'm looking forward to some of the wins that will happen that aren't a sure thing. But if Obama doesn't win I will be devastated.

I have no idea how things are going to turn out, so I am feeling a bit anxious.

So many great things have come out of this election cycle!

(23,375 posts)I'm excited about being a part of this undertaking. It's been a long grueling and rewarding journey. My personal satisfaction level is sky high! Win or lose, I gave it my all, all OFA GOTV did. You can't ask for more than that.

(2,323 posts)And scared shitless 'cause I felt the same way in 2000 and 2004.
I just do not know how I will cope if this goes the wrong way.
And convinced if it goes the wrong qay it will be becasue they steal it.
I hope Obama challenges every stolen vote with all the power he has in the presidency.

(34,658 posts)just the way John Kerry did in 2004. What could possibly go wrong?!
Matariki
(18,775 posts)We were at a large public gathering, Kerry was winning and the mood was upbeat. Then *very* suddenly, after some very suspicious announcements by Karl Rove and Fox News, the counts suddenly flipped. As the night wore on it became very apparent that something awful happened and all the optimism evaporated and everyone got very despondent. I NEVER want to experience that again.

(26 posts)He's got the power to appoint up to 3 new Supreme court justices in his first term...scared shitless of that.
I don't know how I'll cope if he wins...it might mean I can't get through the rest of college or go to grad school.
Fingers crossed it's Obama!!!!!

(3,950 posts)Pretty confident this time around. BUT, I will be occupying myself tomorrow evening so I won't be glued to the TV/computer.
I'm projecting positive thoughts -- and praying real hard in case that isn't enough.
Life is good. We are going to be victorious.

(26,641 posts)Right now, I am fired up, but I don't want to ruin it by reading any more about 269-269 contingencies, vote flipping, polls closed, NY/NJ polling issues (email? really??) or electors who refuse to be bound by their state's vote. Can't do a thing about any of that, so trying to stay positive until tomorrow night where I will be on pins and needles until PA, VA, FL and OH come in.

(31,164 posts)of the concern that they will steal another election. I know the votes will be for Obama but the way they work to steal elections is why I worry.

That's a really big IF though.

(28,151 posts)I think we're going to win BIG tomorrow! Can't wait!
I will be voting tomorrow afternoon as I will be at work starting at 5:30 am until maybe 1:00 pm. Off to vote after that! Will swing by the Dem office to see how I can help.
Tomorrow night is the election night party! We rented out the favorite election-night hot-spot of the local Rethugs and will be watching returns in the company of so many hard-working, dedicated people who have worked so hard! It will be an honor to be with them and watch as we rack up many victories!

(18,115 posts)What a fucking joke our democracy is. Between CU and the media out to cash in on pimping a horse race, the populace is as stupid and misinformed as ever. Critical issues are never discussed, debates hinge on ridiculous comments. States try to block, deny and purge votes.
What a fucking mess. I can't wait for November 7.
