(3,379 posts)There are plenty of people on Florida who did not vote for DeSatan. And even if they did, wishing harm on other humans is a GOP thing. Refusing to help a stare because of pooitical differences is something Trump did and the GOP lauds.
Thankfully, we have a leader like Biden who will help coordinate relief efforts because he took an oath to the entire country, not just people who agree with him.

(12,786 posts)Too many people are taking sarcasm at face value. It's like GOPers who think The Colbert Report is real. But normally liberals are more discerning than that. I guess we all have our senior moments.

(22,998 posts)Honestly? I'm actually clueless how you can have such a saturation of fundamentalists with annual deadly disasters. Doesn't look to me like all the praying helps at all...

(3,523 posts)Federal govt right to let state and local take lead pre-storm and during storm.
We'll begin to see FEMA here shortly when short- and long-term clean up begin. No state can do this on their own.

(18,889 posts)coming into the state if Florida? All the electrical workers, all the EMS workers, clean up crews, staging all the supplies like the power poles, electrical wire, etc All of that was being done by FEMA before the storm even hit.

(19,382 posts)49.6 to 49.2! Why on earth Florida gets all the crap thrown at us when half the state are democratic supporters and more than that most likely. I get so frustrated with this nonsense.

(51,308 posts)Sad to see it here, the apparent lack of compassion, the judging but it happens all too frequently lately.

(6,594 posts)Gov's been on TV more often than prescription drug commercials. Out-of-state liberal friends have called me to express amazement, so his appearances must be going national.

(58,785 posts)No doubt with the sun up for the past hour, staging areas like this one are done waiting and emptying fast.
Power line crews have always been my heroes. And caravans of firefighters and other emergency work crews crossing the country to help with emergencies in other states always give me the warm fuzzies.
