Was it stuff he was supposed to read as president and just said, "throw it in a box, I'll read it later"? More likely, it was a combination of A) Things he cherished because he thought it made him look good; B) Thing he was hiding because it made him look bad; C) Juicy secrets that he could leverage for money and / or favors.
