Fighting continues. There are also reports of fighting at the town of Kreminna to the east, that was to have been the base of the next Russian line of defense after fleeing Lyman.

Lyman was a part of Russia for approximately 20 hours.
It appears Russians tried to flee in the last hours. Judging by video I've seen not all escaped.

(7,611 posts)I've seen quite a few Russian troop videos, in addition to this one, and they seem to have absolutely no concern about their living conditions. I know it is war, but I am shocked at the mess they leave behind. The vids of the new recruit barracks showed disgusting conditions, but no one takes the initiative to clean up. I don't understand that.
I've also seen videos of older Russian apartments that are incredibly shabby and run down. Even if I were very poor, I would find ways to make my living space clean and organized.
Is this a Russian cultural thing?

FYI:
"Lyman, called Krasnyi Lyman from 1925 to 2016, is a city in the Donetsk region of Ukraine." (Google maps)
So much for your annexation, Putin.
Lol - I thought the exact same thing
With all the weapons and aid being sent, someone forgot duct tape!
Its essential!

BTW that 2nd video that showed the Russians were living in muddy holes in the ground w/out
support shows just how badly the war is going for Putin.

(18,181 posts)as does the person right behind the driver, if so, I certainly wouldn't want to be the Russian that comes up against them.
Maybe I'm wrong, but they sure do look like fierce women warriors.

Ukrainian forces say they have surrounded Russian forces in the eastern city of Lyman, pressing their counterattacks in a region that Moscow now claims as its own. Ukrainian forces advanced on the key transport hub overnight even as Russia put on a show of celebrating its annexation of Ukrainian territory with a grand ceremony and a pop concert in Moscow.

(18,783 posts)By then I think Russia will have had its fill of him killing Russians.
Maybe before that there will be some Ukrainian tractors in Red Square towing an Aurus Senat limousine.
(I hope)
I would seriously like to see Ukraine annex 1 Russian city as a statement.
Thanks for posting!
