Flockers looooove to tell that "I was an atheist" whopper. I always make them define "atheist" when they make the claim. The answer is usually, "I didn't go to church." Sometimes it's that they were going to the wrong church!

Neither = being an atheist, but they spew the lie, anyway, because they're too stupid to know what an atheist IS.

BTW: Evangelicals aren't the only members of the religion who try to define atheism that way. Even my own mother, who is not an evangelical, tried to claim that an atheist is anyone not accepting jebus as their saviooooorrrrr. I had to break it to her that she had just categorized as atheists all Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and all the believers of whatever other deities by saying something so mind-numbingly STUPID. And, by the way, we atheists don't believe in any of their deities, either. We don't single hers out to persecute her as she also tried to claim; we think they're all make believe nonsense, so get off the cross, we can put the wood to better use.

Yeah, I'm at the age of being tired of that flocker lie (and all the other ones, too). Had that foisted on me here in the south way too often, for way too long, to have any patience left for it.
