It's keeping the excess water and sediments out of the usable system even if it's not connected.
So STILL should be protected.
Areas without wetlands release sewage into lakes etc to compensate for flooding of waste system.

.let me bring some enlightenment to it. She is showing intelligent preparation and distinct courage during her first case .I dont expect she will be able to sway enough votes from the right wing ideologues but she will surely bring their corruption and bias to the light and educate many in the process. What a great pick by POTUS Joe!
