(24,374 posts)My wife and I visited city hall to make sure we would receive absentee ballots. The city clerk asked if I wanted to vote while there? We said, Absolutely! The clerk ran up the ballots, a privacy divider and pens. We even had an I Voted sticker in the materials, along with privacy covers for the return envelopes.
Thank you for this post, Demovictory9! Ours is an associative universe.

(10,333 posts)...that we had not received our absentee ballots yet. I'm not sure when my state sends them out, but with all the issues with the USPS and such, you think they would send them out early to make sure there are no problems; of course, I live in a red state, so our Republican leaders are probably just fine if we don't cast our vote.
I plan to call our Elections Office tomorrow and ask them when they plan on mailing them out. I'm sure the ballots have been finalized by now...

(10,333 posts)They checked to make sure that they did receive my application (they said they received it and processed it in the middle of September) and said that the ballot should be mailed out tomorrow, so, I'll be looking for it!

None for running unopposed (their own vote can win them the election)
No for retaining all judges (just because it feels good to vote no for someone in a ballot)
No for most props sponsored by the legislature (if they want it, we must be getting the shaft: 128, 129, 130, 131, 132, 309)
Yes on good ballot props (209, 211, 308)
No on all funding, even if I agree with the reason for the funds, using regressive, attack the poor consumption taxes (sales tax): 310
Pima County Recorder already sent me the email that it was received, verified, and counted.

(10,966 posts)Fairly simple ballot this year. Major proposition item is enshrining reproductive freedom in the state constitution. Easiest yes ever.
There's one about kidney dialysis clinics requiring licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, or PAs to be present. I don't know what that's about, so that'll be the one thing I need to research before sending it back.
