1. Many conservatives honestly consider hypocrisy a virtue.

It boggles the mind, but many religious conservatives are pro-hypocrisy. By that, I mean that many honestly think hypocrisy is a virtue, and are somewhat confused by what they see as the “liberal” or “moral relativist” view that hypocrisy is bad.

The conservative perspective here is that morality is absolute and unchanging, but that everyone is “fallen” and ultimately unable to perfectly abide by that morality, so it’s better to endorse a moral standard you can’t live up to than to champion a wrong moral standard and endorse “sin.”

This is something that’s been articulated to me more than once. One conservative writer (forget which) even wrote something like “hypocrisy is a liberal sin, but not one of ours.”

I'm 72 now.

Over a half century later I see this sick, disgusting cult thing is worse than it was back then.

9. Reminds me of another one of those bible thumper's aphorisms: "Love the sinner, hate the sin."

Problem is, "Love the sinner, hate the sin" isn't even in the bible; Jesus didn't say it and the apostle Paul did not write it in any of his letters. It's just a glib "bible verse" these hypocrites use when sanctimoniously claiming to love the people they hate, while crying out they be crucified for their sins.

in that picture, does it not look weird to them?! When I see people doing stuff like this (putting their hands on someone or raising their hands in the air), it looks like a group of mentally ill people. Ugh!

Just my opinion.
