Yeah, my bank seems to be behind the curve.
Let me update you on using Zelle which is in today's news. If you get scammed, they won't cover your losses. They may cover it partially, but aside from that, you're on your own. (If you're a Zelle user, Google the latest news.)
Sooo, today I get an email from my bank encouraging me to use Zelle. Sigh. Do you think that in a few days, or by next week, they'll have caught up?
We really are peasants at the mercy of Big Business. And we're on our own as far as protecting ourselves.
And given the big picture, Big Business will continue to screw us, even if we manage to defeat the right wing assault on democracy.

Don't use Zelle unless you know 100% where it's going.

(15,046 posts)scam or not. The issue I'm pointing out is that Zelle screws you by not covering any kind of fraud 100%.
If my credit card ends up being illegally used by someone else, they either stop the transaction, or eat the loss. They've never charged me for fraudulent use of it. On the other hand, Zelle may pay a portion, but you're stuck with paying the balance of the fraudulent transaction.
