The only surprise in the new abortion debate and rules

Is how quickly the men have gotten on board. Pharmacist not giving medication to girls of childbearing age. Doctors, health and wellness people, Teachers policeman and others couldn’t wait to impose the new rules on women.
I am 72 when I was 26 years old I had a safe, legal, and uncomplicated abortion. The details are unimportant. But today I would not be able to do that if I were pregnant and didn’t want to be. I thought after the handmaid’s tale, and all of that other that people were awake to what could happen to women. But apparently unless you’re a woman there’s not anybody that’s gonna take up for you.
I’m afraid of what is coming if we don’t get a stop on this now.

surprising to many of us. But I know that the speed with which it has come loudly and proudly to the fore is stunning to many as well.

"Walgreens filled the prescription 24 hours after notifying the family that they would need the doctor’s permission before it could be filled even though it had been refilled many times in the past.

This was two days after the new abortion law took effect and there was likely some concern on the part of the pharmacist about repercussions. The law says anyone who aids or assists in an abortion can face two to five years in prison.

Even though it was finally refiled, the family had some anxious moments.

“The pharmacist didn’t look at my history,” the teen said. “She just denied my prescription because of my age.”"

Superior Court Judge Kellie Johnson issued her much-anticipated ruling in a key abortion case on Friday. The ruling is a serious blow to reproductive rights in the state.

The Religious Right are the enemy here, not 'the men'.

institutions they have depended on - the medical profession, military, first responders, schoolboards, courts, neighborhood watch, have been infiltrated by the cult. My grandparents planned this, my parents followed and trained me for the war. Kids I grew up with who started breeding at 14 are now training their great grandchildren.
As they say, the chickens are coming home to roost.

6. Maybe it won't hit men until they have to start paying child support.

Back in the old days there was no DNA testing.

Now it is easy to establish paternity.

Unless of course the patriarchy rules that men don't have to pay child support anymore.

--but realize how exhausting and infuriating it is for women to face this battle yet again. The bodies we live in are viewed by some men as utensils, as prey items, as trophies, as incubators, as anything they project onto them. And human male primates have always sought to control female reproduction. But women won't go back to allowing society or religion control us. We may appear loud and rude in our response to attempts to take us back to the bad old days. Overreaction is natural when you consider how oppressed women have been in the past. Not apologizing, just explaining. Again, thanks for being on our side!
