I keep having to turn off my television.
I live in Texas and it's like every other commercial is an ad that starts out with, " Joe Biden's inflation is crushing...". They then try to tie Beto to it.
Then there's another with some good ol' boy sheriff trying to make fentanyl seem like the most awful thing that's ever happened to the human race, and that it's gonna gitcha! Stupid thing is, it goes on to say that millions of pounds or dollars worth has BEEN SEIZED AT THE BORDER! Well good! Sounds like we're doing a damn good job stopping it. But, of course, they go on to say Beto wants open borders, blah blah blah. First off, inflation is global right now. And President Biden has worked his ass off trying to curb it. Second, fentanyl ain't coming for you, grandma. Calm TF down. It's fucking depressing knowing that these types of ads work. Lots of poorly educated automatons in this country.

1. It's TX, They Don't Really Even Need The Ads
I hate seeing our good candidates like Beto, having to run their campaign in a state like TX. There are many other states where he would stand a decent chance of winning.

Hint: There are none.

8. Yup. The ad that says Warnock votes with Biden. No shit!
He’s a democrat! Their usual scare tactics. The folks that buy into it are a lost cause. It’s what they want to hear.

10. Done with TV, it's a large PC monitor now.
Blu-rays, DVDs, and internet fare and rabbit ears as needed only, Newsmax and OAN are right next to each other there.

12. It's easy to remove television commercials from your personal universe.
The only television my wife and I watch are DVDs and commercial-free streaming services.
We quit traditional television a long time ago -- no cable, no satellite, no broadcast. We budget about $35 a month for television and haven't run out of stuff to watch yet. |

13. we turned off our television 35 years ago...
...just before we gave it away. One of the best decisions we've ever made. The noise box is one of the worst distractions on Earth. I spent the better part of a week last month in a hotel, on a professional trip, where TV is hard to escape in the public rooms. Gawd it's appalling! Quitting television is like quitting smoking-- after getting through the initial craving, you cannot imagine ever wanting to do it again.
