Oh, Alabama, this idiot is going to be your senior US Senator
https://www.al.com/politics/2022/10/alabama-leader-reacts-to-tommy-tuberville-the-bull-is-that-this-guy-is-a-us-senator.html
Leaders in Alabama and beyond are reacting to Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s comments on how Democrats are in favor of reparations because they are “pro-crime.” Alabama Democratic Party Chair Rep. Chris England said on Twitter that the comments were “bullshit”-- the same word Tuberville used to describe Democrats’ support of “reparation.” “There is some bullshit here but it isn’t what (Tuberville) thinks it is. The bullshit is that this guy is a United States Senator in the first place,” England posted.

22. Me either. I don't live in Alabama.
But if you do, sorry. He represents you.
The GQP doesn't care if they nominate qualified humans, they just want a quorum of imbeciles to clog the Senate with rhetorical bullshit. Power is more important than governing. See: Tuberville, Johnson, Scott, and now Hershel Walker. |

14. Yep...he is.
You'd think in the age of Trump they'd be emboldened enough to just say it plainly. Clearly. But oh no. Even today there's enough scruples left in their tiny little heads to realize such thinking is evil. And they're evil bastards for even thinking it.

And there are so many more to decide from. 435 potential idiots as opposed to 100. Marjorie "Missing Link" Taylor (now that she's getting divorced for being a serial adultress--my god, google her tantric sex guru), Lauren "Chipmunk" Boebert, Louie "Gomer" Gohmert, Paul "SS" Gosar, Matt "Groomer" Gaetz, Jim "Gym" Jordan, the list goes on and on. Plus some of those House members seem to be more directly implicated in J6, Senator Josh "Hotfoot" Hawley notwithstanding. Good thing that Senator Tom "Big Bird" Cotton managed to keep a low profile, so far.
But I'm being juvenile... |

They may be technically, but they are not in any other way and they do not want to be.
Do away with the Electoral College and ignore these fucknuts like Tuberville until the people of these states regain some sanity and clean out the fascist GOP.. |

we've been waiting for sanity regain since 1861. I'm not terribly confident they ever will. I think a kind of corporate spinoff is in order. Let them go off and be the English speaking version of a failed central american state. The Feds should stop throwing good money after bad. Yes. I'm serious.

I also grew up in South Carolina with STROM FUCKING THURMOND as my Senator.
Shittiness abounds Down South. But there are lots of cool, good people, they all just stay on the down low and look out for each other when approached by marauding bands of rednecks, or, as they were called back in the day in South Carolina, "woolies". Because when they got out of the textile mills every day they were covered with lint, head to foot. ![]() |

The people to whom Trump talked on the day of the Capitol riot
Analysis by Philip Bump National columnist Updated March 30, 2022 at 1:50 p.m. EDT | Published March 29, 2022 at 11:52 a.m. EDT (snip) Tommy Tuberville, senator from Alabama. (Reported; not in log) Tuberville, newly elected to his position, committed to objecting to the submitted electoral votes before Jan. 6 and subsequently did so. He was also the target of multiple calls on Jan. 6 itself, including one from Trump early that afternoon. (Tuberville reportedly told Trump during the call that Pence was being evacuated from the Senate chamber.) Later, Giuliani would try to reach Tuberville to encourage the senator to drag out the vote-counting process “until the end of tomorrow” so that other legislators could be persuaded to join the effort. Unfortunately, Giuliani accidentally left that message on the voice mail of Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah).
