8. A couple of guesses

The first is that he'll vote to ban them, so whatever he did in the past, this more than makes up for it. It's sorta like a Republican racist that votes for a black Republican because that person will advance their interests. Even hardcore racists like Clarence Thomas.

The second guess is that he did this while abortion was legal and Roe was the law of the land. So I guess they feel that you can oppose something and work to change it, but still do it while it's legal.

The final guess is the complete wackadoos who simply don't believe the story that he paid for abortions.
