9 out of 11 Iranian Shahed drones shot down

Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that in two days, the anti-aircraft missile division shot down 9 of the 11 Shahed-136 UAVs with complexes provided by Poland.

Quote from Zaluzhnyi: "In two days, sharp calculations of the anti-aircraft missile division led to the downing of 9 out of 11 Shahed-136 UAVs.

This is the result of high-quality training of our anti-aircraft gunners, which was conducted by our Polish brothers."

That is just shy of an 82% hit rate which is phenomenal. I hope they improve that to 100%!!

Here's a link with info on the Iranian drone, evil devils they are: https://mezha.media/en/2022/10/05/shahed-136-a-nasty-enemy-uav-that-terrorizes-ukrainians/

Man, oh man. It's that kind of solidarity that wins wars. Ukraine has got this. They're going to win.

So they share a common history. Albeit this was several centuries ago (max extent was 1619). This also explains Ukraine's lack of enthusiasm for being part of Russia.

animus. Because the Poles were the imperialist conquerors.

Part of what's now Ukraine had been part of Poland until Stalin demanded land as reparations. For the USSR, for the most part (Belorus' got some, Ukraine got some, and Russia got Koenigsberg.)
