But the question is when?
Will it be after the election but before the new Congress is sworn in?
Or are there more ducks to get in the row? Trump has committed so many crimes, it is difficult to prosecute them all.
I believe he will be indicted. Just like any other citizen, he should have the right to a jury trial to defend himself from the charges. If there is no jury tampering, and they find him not guilty, then that is the way our system works.
But it has to be done and Merrick Garland is turning the vise tighter and tighter every day.

(40,809 posts)I would bet money there's no indictment before the election. And I wouldn't be surprised if he announces that he's running for president the day after in hopes that our side won't indict him then either, cuz you know, he's running for president.

(58,785 posts)I'm looking forward to, "But, will he be prosecuted or will a deal be made to avoid it, and what deal?"
But the one I'm really hoping for, "Will we actually even pretend to try to extradite him from Russia?"
