I've grown incredibly cynical these past few years at the snail's pace of our legal system.
I don't want justice to be rushed, or for due process to be denied. But I am sick to death of a system that rewards clients who can afford expensive lawyers to game the system, and that treats rich clients with kid gloves while others, especially the poor and minorities, get harsh, swift treatment with far too little presumption of innocence.
