Hello DUers! Scrivener7 will be unable to host the "live threads" for today's, most likely, final hearing by the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol, leading to a final report to Congress by the end of the year.
As we all know, since the last hearing in July, a veritable avalanche of revelations and criminal actions have occurred that continue to play out in grand juries and in the courts, both at the federal and state levels. Today's hearing is expected to update the public about even more that has transpired, including the Committee's obtaining critical details from over a million Secret Service exchanges via text/email, etc., as well as obtaining some testimony from Ginny Thomas, wife of SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas.
To date, there were no witnesses scheduled to testify in person in the hearing room, however all 9 members of the Committee are expected to participate and present a portion of the Committee's final summary, based on what has been an unprecedented amount of evidence that they have compiled as part of their investigation about what happened January 6, what lead up to it, and the aftermath.
For those without a TV and/or who are unable to watch (if at work or home or if traveling, etc but have a mobile device with internet access), here are a few of what are many streams that can be used to view/listen to today's session, including the J6 Committee's own stream on YouTube (the major broadcast - ABC, NBC, CBS, and cable networks CNN, MSNBC, etc., and print - WaPo, WSJ, etc., usually air and/or stream these hearings as well) . If you have a local or nearby Public Radio station, they will often broadcast the audio on those stations using NPR's feed. Also don't forget to check through the live threads to perhaps get some good, often witty soundbite commentary from those watching/listening and posting about what is happening -

(25,982 posts)but the plan was to declare victory anyway. "Possession in nine tenths of the law" and "Fuck you" bluster etc in a vid clip. Stone told tfg he should appoint a special counsel to prosecute "election fraud" so he could stay in office. Flynn and Meadows also involved in planning. Stone was the one who brought in Oath Keepers and Proud Boys.

I am torn as to why all the people surrounding this pos just didn't get up and walk out earlier..and on the other hand, SOME did the right thing and stayed..some, thought he could pull out the overturning of the election, for others, to protect our country..it shows in their testimony who our honest countrymen and women are..

Everyone that was part of this insurrection in that administration should go to prison! This was a coordinated attack against our country! If they were in the former administration and knew but waited until the attack was under way, they should also NEVER be allowed to hold office in this country again! Nothing.
