Is Jan 6 Committee ginning up for a criminal referral TODAY?

This is not a hearing. This is a committee meeting which allows them to put a motion on the floor and vote.

It feels like they are going point by point for an "indictment" of Trump, which of course they don't do but it looks like a preamble to a vote for a criminal referral to DOJ.

This committee has been absolutely leak free. With the additional information from SS now in hand they have all they need for a vote.

We may be about to witness one of the most historic committee votes in the nation's history.

That would be a boss move by the Committee and a perfect cap.

They certainly have their ducks in a row.

to me, at the moment, but I'm not a specialist in such matters.

Contempt of Congress. The question then, would be enforcement.

it appears like a closing argument for the prosecution.

We're getting Secret Service texts in Schiff's statement.

That should be a fun court fight. Wonder if they can get him under oath before the next Congress is sworn in.
