Amazing new solar tech NOT by Elon Musk so maybe watch the whole video/

If this was given priority once proven for mass production the implications are incredible.

Could be applied to cars for example. Range extension and / or far fewer charges required

Almost any home could be self reliant for power. At affordable prices.

I think it's b/c it was presented on a "tesla" channel. I believe it would work on any panel.nt mitch96 Oct 2022 #8

Paying to develop the tech then pay for it again to have access to it.

I would be more comfortable if it were someone else doing this.

I only skimmed the video - did you see how Musk is involved (other than this being on the Tesla Youtube channel)?

I didn't watch the video. If the muskrat is on the title slate, I'll pass.

I suspect anything on that channel is something he has influence in.

He's so wealthy yet he has to have our tax dollars to do anything. His most recent threats to Ukraine's access to SL communications reveals why we should never trust him with anything important.

Solar concentrators (which this appears to be) aren't anything new. They are not usually employed however as it is usually more cost effective to spend the $ solely on the solar cells themselves.

Anyway, beware of Youtubes that have "Insane" in the title and think power output is measured in "Watts per hour".

pyramids when it rains of snows. Are they designed to not collect rain of snow which would render them ineffective?

And if Musk is involved, that worries me.
