Polls and Media .. gather round, because they will use this to steal our elections (uber right)

If suddenly polls are showing a Republican win where they were gulping for air before.. A Be sure you get out the vote and talk to everyone around you.. and B. This is most likely a ploy to give the right another whack at a Jan 6th type of insurrection and takeover of our country.

And it is not just happening in the the US.. this is happening world wide.. don't panic.. stand your ground.. they do not get to destroy our country or any other if we are willing to stand up and back them down... Yes they are loud and noisy.. and use the tactics of a three year old throwing a hissy in the grocery store (why, because it works) but just like good parents everywhere.. we do not give into a childs' hissy.. we give them parameters to find a better behavior in..but they do not get their way.. end of story

"This is most likely a ploy to give the right another whack at a Jan 6th type of insurrection and takeover of our country."

So, media collusion.

Look, I get people don't like polls. It's fine. Sometimes they're right. Sometimes they're wrong. The media love them because it gives them lots to talk about with very low effort. "What does this all mean?" allows the pundit class to go on for days and days.

But you're accusing media of being treasonous and dangerous to government.

I've read that sort of thing before. Hint: It's an era people love talking about when talking about bad guys.

But they weren't.

With a few exceptions (Shapiro - Mastriano for example), the races you're thinking of have all been tight. Add to which, you're suggesting that the polls you now don't like (including those of respected news outlets and collegiate polling institutes) are making up fake numbers to bias the eventual outcome. That kind of conspiracy theory may make you feel better, but personally, I'd like to plan my strategy around realistic assumptions.

An election was stolen. There is no conspiracy on behalf of pollsters for this to happen, of course. But it is the expected reaction of the maga crowd.

Had that the generic ballot was leaning Republican this morning (heard on my Sirius XM while listening to MSNBC).

I do not believe in polls.

Polls will likely be more accurate if they used the same formulas they used in 2020. But the adjustments seem to be based on disregarding the huge field advantage Republicans enjoyed in 2020 due to covid, which gave them a huge boost in the actual results. They probably won't be feeling that same advantage this year. I expect polls to be very wrong, and extremists to act accordingly.

Abortion has moved from #8 in May to #2 in August. But cost of living remains at #1.

But it will no doubt be used as such. Another reason it is so important we win. They can kick and scream all they want, but they will have no legitimacy the entire time. If they win though? They also win legitimacy.
